The employer must file a petition with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on behalf of the employee. 2. **L-1 Visa:** This visa is for foreign workers who have worked for a qualifying foreign employer for at least one year and are being transferred to the United States to work for a related US employer. The employee must have worked in a qualifying executive, managerial, or specialized knowledge position. 3. **O Visa:** This visa is for individuals with extraordinary ability in the sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics, including motion picture and television production. The individual must demonstrate national or international acclaim and recognition for their achievements. 4. **TN Visa:** This visa is for Canadian and Mexican citizens who work in certain professions, including accountants, engineers, scientists, and lawyers. The individual must have a job offer from a US employer and meet the requirements of the specific profession. 5. **E Visa:** There are two types of E visas available: E-1 and E-2. E-1 is for individuals who work in a qualifying international trade position, while E-2 is for investors or entrepreneurs who have made a significant investment in a US business. It is important to note that each visa has its own specific requirements and limitations, and individuals should consult with an experienced immigration attorney to determine which visa is appropriate for their situation. Additionally, there may be other visa options available depending on the individual's circumstances, such as the EB-1 or EB-2 employment-based immigrant visas.
