# What kind of claims can I file under my commercial property insurance policy?

## Types of Claims Under a Commercial Property Insurance Policy

Under a commercial property insurance policy, you may be able to file several types of claims, including:

1. **Property damage claims:** If your commercial property suffers damage due to fire, natural disasters, theft, or other hazardous events, you may be able to file a claim to recover the costs of repairs or replacement.
2. **Business interruption claims:** If your business is temporarily interrupted or shut down due to the property damage caused by the covered peril, you may be able to file a claim to recover the lost income and other related expenses.
3. **Liability claims:** If someone is injured or their property is damaged while on your commercial property, you may be held liable for their injuries or damages. A commercial property insurance policy may also provide coverage for such claims.
